Hadri Royal Sentinel (Sapoha e Hadri Majlenoe) The Hadri Royal Sentinel is a distinct part of the Hadri army, consisting of a fixed number of elite soldiers. Sentinels are responsible for protecting the royal family, as well as of keeping the peace in the palace.
Sentinels are hand-picked by the king from currently serving soldiers. The traditional tournament occurs on the training grounds in the castle area (unavailable to the public), which results in ceremony of granting „sapohatamak” to those who win. „Sapohatamak” is made of future sentinels’ oath, a ritual and signing in official documents.
There is little info available about the method of training, as most of it are kept top secret. Yet from their presentation they are proficient in all types of combat: unarmed, magical and with many types of melee and ranged weaponry, including firearms. As how important their work is, they have authorization to remove any incoming threat to the king, with killing on sight and/or sacrificing their life included.
Their service lasts until they reach 75 [Hadrian] years old or the health conditions prevent performing their duties anymore. The retired sentinels get paid a very high pension from the state, more than enough to live decently for the rest of their lives.
The sentinels are treated with utmost respect, even higher than police or army forces. Such profession gives honor for the families who had someone there due to rare occasions to get one (some say it's less than one in a billion).
