Read the description. The icon has a history and called such for a reason

Truly remarkable words of which I feel deeply humbled. How gracious and kind you are about my work and my love for my subjects. That's why I decided to focus my art on religious work (for which I remain most known and commissioned for) and also my progressing Equine art...
I try very hard to make my art rise above and beyond many other artists...my mentors both tell me I have a rare gift to put real soul into my artworks...I find that incredibly moving that I am capable of such a rare ability. I thank our beloved God for each every one of the talents He blesses me with and I work hard to do what I can with them

This link: [link] will tell you the history behind the original image of Our Lady of Czestochowa, also referred to as the Black Madonna.
Very happy to hear that you like my religious work. It's what I'm best at really. Thank you for finding me and for stopping by

amazing, it reflects the original but is still a creation of its own

Yes, that was what I wanted to achieve. I was deeply moved by the original image that I saw but wanted to shape it into something more contemporary and perhaps more relatable for more people today.
Thank you for the fav and for stopping by, I very much appreciate it.

So kind of you to stop by my work, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I thought the original to be beautiful too but wanted to bring Her to life in my interpretation...I hope I succeeded...God bless you

I work in 3 different media upon request, graphite, acrylic and oils thoguht oils are new and I only started working with those as a client payed me to buy a set of oils to paint their portrait. I was quite humbled by their generosity. I'm not a fan of oil as I'm too use to the rapid drying time of acrylic but if someone is patient enough to wait for an oil painting and pay what it worth then I will do so.
Geez, narrowing down my price range depends on the medium used, size and detail so it's not as easy as a list of usual pricings. I know many artists do that but I prefer to work one on one with a client.
As an example though my prices go from about $100 for about an 8" x 10" pencil portrait up to around $2000 for a large painting of around 24" x 30" with no more than two figures in the painting. More detail takes more time and costs more.
Hope this helps.
