That's what I like to do. Having my characters float about without any background, or having them float 10 cm above the ground when there is a background.(Erm, the rat guy in the foreground is supposed to be my boyfriend. Sorry for defacing your char, honey...)

Das bringt es einfach so dermaßen auf den Punkt. Laß uns einen "verloren im weißen Nichts" Club gründen, von dem Phänömen bin ich auch schwer betroffen...

I like all the doodles on that piece, especially the dino. I can't draw dinos worth squat. I also love your boyfr...er, rat. Not many people can draw such um, nice looking (okay fine, handsome) rat anthros. I know I sure can't.

That's what i do also, Taci. I can't draw bg's so i just leave them as your typical static anthro drawings... Ech.
You should try drawing rats more! That one actually looks like a pretty funky dude IMPO!

Tja, und da Deviant Art im Moment mal wieder sein Späßchen hat, kann ich mir hier zwar alles wunderbar anschauen, nur das Bild selber nicht. Ich komme einfach nochmal wieder wenn D.A. wieder funktioniert. Bis dahin bin ich mal eben vor der Tür, ein paar unschuldige PC's verprügeln.
