I believe it’s customary for the youngest to pour tea for his or her elders. I think.

I’m guessing at the characters for Heylin (黑林Black Forest). There never seemed to be an official Chinese equivalent. But then, Xiaolin Showdown has a liberal dose of pseudo-Chinese. Like, my dad’s just like “What’d they say?” whenever he watched the show with me.

飲茶 (yum cha) is a favorite pastime of mine. Back in New York City, nothing was more relaxing than going out and sitting in a tea parlor with the old man, old lady, and sister. Ever since visiting Hong Kong, though, I’ve gotta say my love for it has dropped, especially since my granny and aunt take us out for tea every day. Like clockwork. Hahaha.
