Description
The shape of water is such a beautiful movie that I couldn't resist to draw something for it.

In many senses this movie is a masterpiece. This soothing green hue in every scene and sometimes a touch of red for love makes it visually very unique and stunning. Also, personally speaking I am really touched by the story. Lots of critics were targeting at the 'bueaty and beast' and 'monster movie cliche' set up of the story, but in fact telling a genre movie theme in such a graceful way means it is a classic in the niche. Yes, the world is always darker than fairy tales. Yes, the reality is always colder than French love songs, but it doesn't mean every movie that points out serious issues of race, gender, disability, chauvinism and shadow of government has to be dark, sad and tough as Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri. The later is also a great movie that I absolutely loved, but I think there are room in this world for using more poetic and colorful movie language to interpret our complicated world.
