I might drive a Pinto wagon ^^ Looks cute, far less volatile.

And if you scroll up on my comments from two years ago, you can see I knew about the exploding issue only being limited to the pre-'77 coupes/hatchbacks.

They do make modern fuel tank retrofits for these, just FYI.

The wagons never had an exploding issue.Β  Only the '76 & earlier coupes/hatchbacks.

Yes.Β  So says the for sale sign advertising it as a 1-owner, 61,000 original mile car.Β  Considering how nice it looks, I'm inclined to agree.

It is still a P.O.S.

Come on, Pintos were not the best cars in the 70s.

I never said they were great cars.Β  Doesn't mean I can't like them.

They're okay to look at, but not to drive.

That I won't argue.Β  I've never driven one but I've driven a '79 Thunderbird and I own a 1982 Mustang.Β  It wasn't a good time for auto performance...

Wow, this looks to be in remarkable shape! Too bad they are such a bomb, it's cute enough to drive around! What does the window sign say? "Low ?"

"Low miles.Β  ExcellentΒ condition."

61,000 original miles, one-owner, and the good news is the wagons never had an exploding issue (only the hatchbacks/coupes).Β  Which only applied to the '71-'76 models, so this one's safe all around.Β  For sale for $7700.

Same here.Β  It's very tempting!Β  It's in great shape - you just don't see Pintos this clean any more.
