Description
The Model A was one of the best selling John Deere tractors ever built, with over 300,000 built between 1934 and 1952. Along with the smaller Model B and the larger G, they made up the backbone of John Deere's row-crop tractor lineup throughout the 1930s into the early 1950s. The A was offered originally unstyled with manual start only, but as the years progressed, more versions were added, including the AW with adjustable wide front axle, the AN with a single front wheel, AH high-crop, AOS orchard standard, and AR with standard tread front axle. Pictured here is the 1949-1952 version with narrow front and electric start.
