this is a commission done for a friend (and when I say commission, I actually mean request... it's just that it sounds so much more professional the other way ) who asked for a fallen angel... I saw a pose like this (someone with the head back and one arm just spayed and hanging) and I thought... wouldn't it be cool if you could see a lot more of their torso, and their hair were pretty and they were falling and falling and.... So I sort of borrowed the pose but yeah... it's a falling angel (falling towards the ocean... an ocean that I'm not entirely satsified with, but... whatever.

I don't usually work in color >> so this is very difficult for me... it is done in mini-copic ink for the outline, and then several coloured ballpoint pens and then coloured pencils for shading.

Somewhere, if you see smudged words... it used to be the lyrics of a song that I was thinking of while I did the first sketch - it's the song that goes

"down to the earth I fell
with dripping wings
heavy things won't fly
and the sky might catch on fire
and burn the axis of the world that's why..."
