What a great way to start off the new year!
This is a contest entry for . The theme was family bonding and I thought it was a cute idea, so here are two of their mascots -- Elis and Umber -- on their honeymoon. I know, it's kinda cheesey, but I like it. ^_^
I used some star brushes from Brusheezy .
Okay, enjoy!
EDIT: Changed the color of the sky. It looks a lot better now in my opinion.

Bit of a nitpick. Her tail is wrong. D: She's got it splitting at the very base, not like normal espa's.

Yes, I realized that, but when I drew it, it didn't serve the picture any good and looked weird. D: So I just changed it around a bit. My representations of characters never turn out exactly as they are. ^^

aww they are such a cute couple the drawing is great how you caputered their love with their paws rsting on each others heart...lol that might of not been what it was supposed to mean but oh well I guess I just see they are in love...and are sooooo adorable hehe.

haha, cheesy or not, this is a great pic. Everything from the moon(which is freaking awesome) to the background(simple, yet very nice) to your very own style of these eeveelutions is very good

One question though, is the lighting on Ellis's back, ears, and top of her head suposed to go out of the lines?

Yeah, I was trying to make it look as if they were swathed in moonlight or some crap like that... didn't really turn out that great but it's okay. xD

It did turn out pretty good. I have issues with glowey lighting a lot. . .And then I discovered the Blur tool
Funny thing is, even though I figured the Blur tool would help a lot with lighting I've only ever used it on water. . .

I don't really use the blur tool. xD I just mainly use the soft round brush if I want to make something blurry and I hardly ever draw water. o_o;; I just really need to draw more backgrounds in general because I suck at them.

I found the best way to improve on something is to force yourself to draw it. A lot. Like right now I'm drawing a lot of pics with water. . .And once thats done, I'll be making myself draw a lot of pics with city buildings and such.

I simply love your shading--it's awesome! The background is amazing and I really like how everything's been placed. The Moon's really great and the clouds have that awesome touch. ^^ The way you did the umbreon and espeon is really cool too! I love the anatomy. ^^ But I swear I've seen them before (here we go again xD).
