Description
After the fall of the 4 Ruin Leaders, the 5 Grand Elders forged 8 unique spheres to act as a key to seal away them from the physical realm for good. However, the Grand Ruin Church had other plans, deploying a crack squad of disciples to ghost away the Keys in the dead of night and then fled the country individually. Over time, their descendants watched over the core keys, and some kept in touch with other holders, knowing that the Elders were always looking for the thieves with infinite patience as immortals. But a single get-together five years ago soon ended with them all being captured and taken aboard the Prison Ship, just as the hordes of Shadow Pokemon were closing in. But Nocturne the Necrozma has huge plans and cast the ship into a Time Storm, just as his world domination plans started. Soon enough, the 8 were teleported to Darkland Prisons and given a ultimanium by Nocturne, though he was unaware of what they carried, Serve or Perish. Now endowed with Shadow, they began wreaking havoc across the Island unaware that their masters were also being heavily corrupted as well.

Simply put, to unlock the 4 Ruin Leaders, you'll have to fight each of them for the 8 Core Keys.
