My Entry for the #ClubTeenTitansOC contest to showcase your OC’s origin.So this would pretty much sum up the life of my character, Kenji, before his story in Stained by Darkness.
Its not the happiest story ever, but superheroes never have happy origin stories.
Don’t know if I should categorize this as Traditional Art or Digital Art. I drew it all out traditionally with pencil and pen, but then colored it in digitally. Perhaps I’ll call this digital and post the unfinished/uncolored page later as traditional. We’ll see.

I'm kinda surprised that there aren't more OC based off the movie, as it had so much potential.

Very polished page layout! You establish a good color scheme too that adds to the story: Kenji's blue holds it all together, the orange-brown give warmth and a positive sense of comfort and security to the middle panels, with a brighter recurrence in last paneling suggesting hope of a new home, and then the white and gray is very sinister.
I love the shopkeeper!

I feel silly about the deadline, too. I had decided to give up on entering because I didn't have enough time and then rushed when the deadline was extended.

I know. I would think that a contest like this would have done much better. The last one just called for your OC in a fight and it did great! This one give you a chance to really show off your OC and we get nothing??? O_o

Yup, very strange... I mean I really hate the fact I wasn't a member for the fight contest, but this contest is like a major part of hero OCs and... Nothing. Pretty disappointing, I really wanted to see what everyone was gonna' do!

Also, in the forth box, it says, "and supposedly saved his farther." Did you mean Father? XD I make typos like this all the time because Corel Painter does not have spellcheck!

Thanks! When I first came up with him, I looked around for any similar OC, but was surprised to find none.
He can create things with ink like his father, but he much prefers to just harden the ink into a whip or a shield.
Thanks for pointing out the typo! Its all fixed now. Why, oh why don't art programs have spell-check when they have text???
