Created this in Photoshop last year. I was happy with this, what with the use of colouring and the paintbrush tool to add shading.This was made during the time I was enjoying the Digimon epidemic, after the 3rd series came out (4th series I'm still having trouble understanding). For a fan-made series I was working on (and still is), Renamon was a key character. In this instance, we have her breaking away from her usual "Diamond Storm" manuever to embrace one of the most over-done, but still kewl, moves in history that I have ever seen.

Your work is pretty much impressive. Especially this one. It is an epic idea having Renamon utilize one of most classic and powerful anime beam attacks at all time. Keep it up!!!

I'm having trouble getting my images colored in Photoshop; the simple reason is that I don't know how to perform the outlining of the image. My pencil marks make coloring too difficult. How do you outline a clean image in black so that you can get to the fun of coloring?

Well, this drawing I did a long time ago...I think the line work was done straight in Photoshop I think. Nowadays, I tend to just draw an image (whether rough or plain) and colour using layering in Photoshop.
But I suppose for that "fill-in" effect, the best way is to do a clean drawing on a piece of white paper. Create a rough sketch in pencil, then with a black ink pen, go over the top of the drawing. Once done, use an eraser to rub out the rough pencil outline so the black stands out.
Once the drawing is done, you scan the drawing into your computer and (depending on your scanner) set the scan quality to "black and white" (or greyscale) and edit the "contrast" setting to ensure the black line is clear.
Once in Photoshop, should be a simple process of colouring, whether using the layers tool, or merely bucket filling between the lines. If there are gaps in the lines, best to get the brush tool and rougly draw in the gap.

The colors on this are just fantastic. Great job with the coloring/shading, and the background works well with the yellow.
I remember a long time ago when I made a "Super Saiyan" Renamon with a spiked up tail (similar SSJ3) and green eyes.

Thanks. I tried my best to get the colours just right. Tried on my own for a bit, then did the right thing and hunted down references to get the right tone of colour.
