I've often seen artists do this. They'll take an old piece of work, something from years ago and remake it in their current style/skill. Well I figured at the volume that I make these, and just building muscle memory and learning the little nuances of getting details -just- right, half a year isn't a bad place to stop and stand back, and have a little comparison.

On the right is the first Pipboy I made, the prototype. Trying to get all the electrics to place nice, playing about with the power supply, balancing the resistor load to keep the faceplate LED from being the blinding beacon... Finding out which paints and techniques yield the best results without taking two days to apply just detail work to one rust vein...

On the left is the latest to come off the workbench, number 60 something... Some things have been simplified, some things have gotten much more refined, and don't you just love the blue screen? Best suggestion a customer has ever made yet.
