You may or may not know of Persephone's story and the reason as to why the seasons change. Well if you don't, it was a pretty interesting story actually. Persephone's mom was the goddess of harvest, and as they lived together, the world flourished with warm weather and healthy crop. However, one day Hades decided he wanted to marry her, so he kidnapped her and brought her to the underworld. Devastated, Persephone's mother, Demeter, took away the world's good harvest. Now, Persephone is allowed to visit her mother for a period of time, but also has to remain in the underworld with Hades for that same amount, thus when she's with Demeter, we have spring and summer, and when she leaves to go back to the underworld, there is fall and winter c:
