Description hdr layers selective blur burn and paint.... oh what fun

or Not..... after constructive criticism I have redone another photo file and posted it under the title of Water Colours.[link]
It is cleaner, better focused although not perfect and the colour balance I beleive is better. I would like to thank everyone for the feedback to help me improve my work

We are getting a bit now, but of course, it's not enough to do anything but lay the dust

Yes a bit of rain in the background... I had minutes to get the shot while the sun was still out

Maybe looking a bit too edited to my taste but I can't deny that the intensity is great here. I love the light on the tree (and the tree itself, it's lovely) and the edible contrast between the cloudy sky and the burning orange field. An eye treat for sure.

Think I might try this again... I took about 4 shots and I'm not sure this was the sharpest! I had seconds before the sun went behind a cloud

Wow! Unfortunately I can't say too much about the colour (I'm colourblind ) but I can say that this is an amazing shot. The sky is so bold and intense and the shadow is just wonderful. You've created a really nice balance in the composition, too. Your skills with Photoshop are unbeatable. Marvelous job!

great shadows, nice colours - bit too much contrast and its the shame the tree is a tad out of focus but i love the golden strokes through the clouds and the rays of light (or maybe cloud/rain?) streaking down, make for an extremely powerful atmosphere.

David, I'm impressed. Really impressed.

In the last couple of weeks you uploaded some of the shots I didn't actually find attractive to my eye although some of them were special but this one is f.fantastic.

composition, colors and usage of hdr in specific parts of the photo is really well done.

Apart from that I'm jealous. Capturing this kind of moment is really once in a lifetime moment for amateur photographers. The storm that is seen in the distance gives the photo a bit gloomy effect but the way terra rossa (red soil) gives (in connection with sunshine and shadows on the tree) a lot of positive energy to the picture...awesome!

It looks kinda interesting and the colors make the photo look strange in some way, but that's the effect I like.

The only thing I don't like is that "glowing effect" around the tree. It looks like the sky was cutted and edited...dunno what you've done but I noticed this at first..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sun-Seeker In reply to toko [2007-05-05 10:57:28 +0000 UTC]

you can get a glow when you make a HDR photo this is four photos HDR'ed... now the glow didn't show in the saved HDR tiff but when I applied photoshop layers it brought it out.... I decided to live with it and maybe try another shot later on.. its all practic makes perfect. Thanks for commenting mate
