Haha well I got what I was aiming for then!

Then again I was trying to branch out from harry potter...

I'm not sure it says specifically what happens...The harry potter wiki says that he either dies in the final battle or is sent to azkaban..

Well, I am also for Lestrange love. Also even if they weren't in love after the breakout, why can't we assume that Azkaban sucked it out and they used to be in love before?

Yes. I agree. Maybe azkaban did suck out the love...But I realllly like to think there was some there originally..
I'm keeping with my idea haha. I think they are a wonderful couple to draw!

Oh of course they are! I drew them too, but it was rather an illustration to my fanfiction.

The story is about the Lestranges having a daughter, who is born in Azkaban (they didn't know about her, and didn't even suspect anything, as they were trying to have a child for years and got no effect... so yeah). Main part of the story is about the young Lestrange raised by the Malfoys, yet there are some pieces about the earlier generation of Lestranges.

Haha, good idea! Well, I guess I should get back to translation work (this story is all written, but in Polish, so I must translate it to English...) before my real work...

Ahh no sleep for the wicked.
Still most of the time you can't tell the story has been translated, so you're obviously very good at it.
Keep up with the good work!

Well, I started learning English when I was seven, which makes twelve years now... you would be this good with ANY language after twelve years. I've been writing it as a sidestory to my other fanfiction, but the main story will never be translated (too many references to the Polish culture and stuff). Only sometimes I have it hard to translate, when there's a witty word play or something like this.
I will keep up, for sure! Maybe even tomorrow there will be a new chapter.

sugarfr0st In reply to Batysia [2011-09-06 18:28:42 +0000 UTC]
What's the main story about?
And yeah I doubt it. I could learn languages for years and still be crap. I just don't have a brain for it I'm afraid.
And yayy!

Batysia In reply to sugarfr0st [2011-09-08 11:48:36 +0000 UTC]
The main story is about Regulus who didn't die but pretend and escaped to Poland, had his Mark removed, got married and had kids, who happened to be Sourcerers, and then he sends his kids to Hogwarts before they go to Sourcerery school. Sourcereds are like wizards, but more. More powerful, and they easily create new spells and potions. In this story, there are now (third part, chapter 4) four kids that were born with pale Dark Mark. It's basically messing with the real storyline, to keep some of my fav characters alive...
Okay, submitting today, as it was raining yesterday.

Oh wow, really detailed plot. I like it more than when they just create a character and pair them off with harry or something for no reason.
π: 0 β©: 1
Batysia In reply to sugarfr0st [2011-09-09 09:57:00 +0000 UTC]
Well, I created one character to pair with Regulus, another to pair with Sirius, one to pair with Snape, a woman to sleep with Lucius once and have a bastard son (two years older than Draco - see my fic "Forbidden" somewhere in the dA gallery)... yeah, there are loads of OCs there, and most ARE paired. But I'm a Pole, and most Poles like detailed plots, and I'm not an exception - sometimes even I find myself lost in the plot (I had this after a longer break from writing this fiction, as I wanted to focus on my exams that were in May... now I'm back in the rhythm).
I love playing with the canon, and also boast in my country... the first part of this story was written for mere fun, and then the readers asked me to continue, and now I'm writing seventh chapter of third story in the series. If everything goes well, I'll finish it before I finish my studies - but if sessions kill me, I won't of course. I plan to translate some splinters, but well... I won't be able to translate the poems I'm using, and I can't get all the references to Polish culture right...

sugarfr0st In reply to Batysia [2011-09-11 21:15:49 +0000 UTC]
I have never heard that specifically about Poles before...
But I'm not exactly well cultured so you know..
And wow, how much of an ego boost for people to actually ask you to continue.
π: 0 β©: 1
Batysia In reply to sugarfr0st [2011-09-11 22:29:52 +0000 UTC]
When I say that Poles like detailed plot, it means very detailed, and with loads of descriptions. To show you how much, I'll tell you about one Medieval Fair. One guy was dressed up as a goliard (medieval story-teller), and he was telling one of old legends. And he was describing a feast, and of course the audience was asking questions like, "and was the beef served with rosemary or with lovage?" or "had the dress golden or silver linings?".
Yeah. It is. There is also a story about Bellatrix, both here and on fanfiction.net, which was planned as a one-shot. It's here: [link] and on fanfiction.net, I got a comment containing "it would be lovely if you would post more chapters. i'm very interested in this story." (spelling original), and well... that was enough to make me write six chapters so far. I'm not very assertive...

sugarfr0st In reply to Batysia [2011-09-14 19:49:56 +0000 UTC]
Well yes, I am aware of what liking detailed plots entails. I just don't know cultures.
See reviews being read make my day! Some people just count the reviews and think yeah I got four today, doing all right...I like it when people actually take notice of these things.

Even criticism can be good to read, at least people are taking an interest. Except of course for mindless trolling...
I've only attempted writing out a fanfiction once, and even then I can't hold my attention on something for too long. I tend to have concentrated bursts and then flicker onto something else.
Apart from Harry Potter it seems...I'm quite proud to have stuck with it for so long.
But anyway, this FF only got up to a few chapters barely into the story at all, and it was the reviews that got it that far... I would have stopped after a chapter but everyone was so encouraging..

I guess it may be. There are some things preventing spam, and you need to wait two weeks before you can post anything (story, review), so they just give up.

Batysia In reply to sugarfr0st [2011-09-23 10:47:30 +0000 UTC]
Uh, well... drunken exploits can't be done for now, as the liquors aren't ready yet (must wait half a year, ARH!). Lie ins? Sure! And every fun I can think of, excluding getting drunk. One of the best things is crazy racing: we have a very steep and very stony road here in the countryside, and we race by going down very fast and whoever touches the brakes first, loses. Great fun. If you fall, a few broken bones are sure.

I'm of age, but I never seem to have enough money for alcohol, and if I have, I immediately think of other things I could buy for it... so yeah. I buy illegal alcohol, paying about 1/4 of the legal price (I skip taxes) and use it for making liquors. My blackberry liquor is prepared, now it only has to lie half a year to be ready to drink. And as I left all my last year supply in the city, I didn't have anything in the countryside.
I must still wait for the pottermore... it was raining during the "early access" and I missed it :/
Well, we use just bikes. Mostly old ones, somewhat rusty and not in perfect condition. None of us wears a helmet, but no one died. We had some broken bones, but I personally never got anything worse than some bumps and bruises.

sugarfr0st In reply to Batysia [2011-09-26 23:17:07 +0000 UTC]
Ahh see I am a poor student who has to survive on cheap cider. However blackberry liquor sounds delicious! Blackberry is my favourite flavour!
It's not all it's cracked up to be really...Although the few new bits JK has stuck on there are quite interesting.
Haha bikes sound even more dangerous! I haven't ridden one for years. And I'm the unlucky kid that always falls awkwardly and gets concussed. Seen a lot of stars in my time, but never broken any bones.

Batysia In reply to sugarfr0st [2011-09-26 23:29:07 +0000 UTC]
Well, I buy quite pure alcohol quite cheaply. Turns out even cheaper than the legal cheap cider! Yet I pick the blackberries all by myself. If you ever happen to be in Poland, you're welcome for a shot. Or two. Or more. And if you want, I can give you the recipe.
Don't tell me, don't tell me yet! I'll see by myself in the right time!
Well, yeah. It is dangerous, and we were forbidden to do such races at least nine times. But it never stopped us. We needed the danger, the thrill... it was proving all the others, and yourself, that you can do it, that you are brave enough. Live hard and die young, enough for us. Bruised all the time, having bumps more often than not having, dirty, tired and starving at the end of the day - and I've never been happier than when we were so in good old times.

sugarfr0st In reply to Batysia [2011-09-29 18:44:50 +0000 UTC]
I have never even seen pure alcohol being sold!
I am definitely going back to Poland to find out this!!
Ahhh pottermore is frustrating me at the minute. You'd think they'd have planned for this to be the biggest website EVER. They can't even cope with the beta testers, so god knows what's going to happen when they open the doors to the public. Bet it crashes within ten minutes.
It's just not ready...
And indeed the forbidden aspect of these races probably made them even better! I used to love it as a kid to come in all bruises and scrapes from having a proper day adventure...It only happens now on nights out. Just not the same.

Batysia In reply to sugarfr0st [2011-09-29 20:09:42 +0000 UTC]
Going "back" to Poland? You were here once? Welcome then!
Well, not really "biggest website ever", but I thought of it as something like half of facebook. If it's really like this, then... lame. Very lame. Guess they were just hurrying too much to open it.
Oh but of course! It was all about not to lose, not to fall and not to get caught by adults. And of course now it's not the same... eh, I hate growing up.

I was. School trip to Krakow, it was brilliant. I just ate and ate and ate haha.
And bought vodka.
And no I suppose not the biggest ever, but I bet it gets more hits than google at first. It's gonna be crazyyy.
Cider in the park isn't as rebellious as it used to be. We used to have cracking times being loud and crazy and running from the police...And now I'm old and use terms like cracking time!

Oooh, KrakΓ³w. I love this city. I visit it at least twice a year... it's the place where I was born.
Pure alcohol can for sure be bought in KrakΓ³w, but it's expensive when legal, so I strongly advice you to send me a note or something like this, and I'll get you some illegal.
Oh well, then tomorrow I'm having a bit of this craziness. Hope I'll get sorted to Slytherin.
What we did at secondary school was making gunpowder at home and trying it out at Soviet graveyard. Fun, fire and... well, fun and fire.

Well, I as a poor student never travel beyond the countries which shared border with Poland... and now, rarely cross the border. Having my family spread all over Poland, I have always very cheap place to stay, and I can always get cheap food. Public transport also can be cheap here, and for short distances, that's what my bike is for. Don't worry, one day you'll manage.
End of October, huh? Then I'll manage to look around my new studies until it opens for me. Almost all the people I know that got the early access are in Slytherin and overjoyed about it... I wonder why *cough* maybe because Slytherin is simply the best.
It did, and well, there are loads of young pyromaniacs here in Poland. Most of teenagers know, at least theoretically, how to make a lethal "leave-grenade" (a grenade that you leave somewhere and after a minute, when you're safe distance away, it blows up and can kill about 20 people if lucky). Why so? Well, one thing is that now we're having the longest time without a war with Germany, and it must end sometime. So we must be prepared.
π: 0 β©: 1
Batysia In reply to sugarfr0st [2011-10-05 21:43:17 +0000 UTC]
I'm really glad with the public transport today... I had to get at the other end of the city (university stuff) and it didn't take me long. And it was quite cheap too... still if I only had more time, I would walk. It was only about 6 kilometres.
Okay, so I'll be waiting. Life is mostly waiting after all; I'm waiting for end of lecture, for end of day, for potatoes to be cooked...
Not bitter... just realistic... history of Poland is filled with wars with Germany, so sooner or later... you know. I'm more bitter towards France and England, which were to help us and didn't. Many history scientists claim that if France and England had attacked Germany in September or October 1939, they would have most probably avoided the whole world war...
