wow,
this picture shocked me. i think its a great picture because it shows our world for what it is. it amazes me what other countries are like and what we do(or dont do) to help others. i noticed you traveled a lot . you should try going to ecuador. i think youd find a lot of interest in it. i spent some time in Quito. i think you'd find many things there that you could take pictures of. definetly a shocker.

yes, in the states you have homeless people lying in the streets...
this kid HAS mother and father, and at this moment they are somewhere drunken as rock. Some of the kids on the streets stay on particular crossroad for YEARS to beg...because they make money this way. And these people are not normal bulgarians, they are either drug junkies (extremely rarely) or in the 99% they are jipsies...jipsies don't work, they steal or beg. So your comment is quite misleading. And if you have been in other countries you'd notice this is common practice for the jipsies worldwide.
everybody can gets his windscreen washed at the gas statition for no money...by regular bulgarians having real job
btw when some begger at mcDonalds opens your door and asks for money do you give him the money you would give to that child?

interesting and thank you... i was well informed of the types of people in bulguria... and well i just saw a lot of this all around... all most every where i went... not like i'm a history major or anything... oh and why would a begger open my door when its locked anyway... ?? i always lock my doors and at that moment i was in a taxi cab...

This is very sad and difficult to look at. What makes it even worse, in my mind, are the posters on the pole behind yellow car. I can't read Bulgarian, but you don't need to know the language to tell what it's all about. Disgusting and sad.

That's not fair!! Things like this make me angry and sad. How could you be sitting in your car and have some poor kid come up and wash it and you dont give them any damn money! grrr

thanks girl... and i understand... just being away from the states and seeing the things that i see... its breath taking... and so sad... it breaks me to see this happen in our world... you know what i mean... we actually take care of a day care here and thats even hard enough not take some of the kids awhile from growing in those conditions... at least we a taking them in and giving them a new play ground... and dental checks... etc... thats about it... oh well... later hunnie... i have to go to class in like 30 minutes...
