Yay, it's done! I did this (mostly) from a photograph of some waterfall in Yosemite national park. T'was for my painting class this summer. As you can see, I got sort of sloppy in the foreground. Tell me if you like the little unicorn or not! ^_^Oil on 18x24 canvas, about 12 hours.

Well, normally I'm not one for landscape artwork (it's nice and all, but I don't normally critique it), but I really like this. ^^ I think the sky and mountains in the background and the trees and rock in the foreground look very beautiful in contrast to each other. And yes, I like the little unicorn.

I got to look a little closer before recognizing it ... and that's why I dare to claim it really does fit in there ..

Do more full scene pics like this! I'm usually too impatient to do full scenes that detailed. If you wanted to clean up the foreground just add some more detailed clean lines to the parts closest to the viewer. The blur is great for the things in the distance (because that is how they really look) and things up close are usually a lot clearer..unless you don't have your glasses on hehe. It's cute how you added the little unicorn in it..nice touch how it kind of blends in with the mist.
