2010 secret santa for

finished about four days ago and have been itching to upload it ever since. it's gone 12am on the 10th in my time zone, so i've been put out of my misery 8D
first proper manip in months and i'm really happy with how it turned out. i put a lot more focus and emphasis on the horse this time. usually i tend to be more focused on the whole picture; both horse and the overall background 50/50. the markings were a challenge in that i usually don't 'do' fantastically markings with horses a lot and i wanted them to have a realistic feel to them. not entirely convinced that i pulled off the tiger stripes 100%, ditto with the tail. quite like the contrast between the sharper foreground and the more hazy background that i created.

overall it was a lot of fun and i hope you like it <3
