Thanks friend, that makes a lot of sense. It reminds me of when a writer goes out of his way to fill in the dots in a story, when in reality it asks less of me, makes me less engaged, and becomes boring faster. I guess my new goal for 2013 is "KISS"

Your work is clean and simple to the core. together it gives the allusion of a a complex, detailed scene. I bog my work down in detail and too many colors and it ends up sinking before it can swim. VERY COOL WORK.

Thanks My mum always told me KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid! I always start with the simplest composition that works, then add detail onto that. In a way, it's about letting the mind fill in the details, as the imagination does a lot better job of creating a world than I do. I want to just create the space that the viewer can run off into. Awesomeness all over again. It's almost like if you were playing with geometric simplification of composition and then just taking that as a pretty definite base of the image. You know what I mean? Probably not, I'm just babbling.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean! I've been looking at my work over the last few years, and it is really tending toward geometric simplicity, and a focus on composition. If you half close your eyes, you can see it's just a heap of shapes slapped tastefully on the canvas.
