This one looks better than the dreadnought Is it finished? As the base is bare. From here you could try some edge highlighting - which is basically picking up the edges of surfaces and the raised areas with a lighter hue.You could also experiment with drybrushing these highlights - although many painters frown on drybrushing I find it a valuable technique just like anything else. For example - you have a fair amount of black there, which is usually a good colour for drybrushing.first of all, decide if you want a "cool" black, or "warm" - given the colours you've already chosen, I'd go with "warm" highlights. In which case, mix in some brown with the black until you can see a gentle difference against plain black. Then get an old brush, and mix the paint - wipe off most of the paint onto a piece of tissue paper (Making sure you don't pick up and bits from the paper itself) until the paint is barely visible against the tissue. Then, stroke the brush over the black areas until you can see the paint - this should just pick up the edges and raised areas.
