It's a watercolour technique done with crayola markers C: Just the kind you used in elementary school, nothing fancy. You use the marker as your paint pot, add water and boom~
Fosil's a cool dude x3 His character is very strong, I wanted to embody that C:

Er, it's more like, using the marker as the paint, and the brush as the medium? You don't directly put the marker on the paper, unless you want a really dark colour- plus the marker has a thicker tip that is less easy to control. You use the brush on the marker first. Watercolour paper works best for this- it doesn't crinkle and the colour moves around nicely instead of getting stuck.
