Where did you buy the fans? (The pre-made part of it) I need to make giant fans for a costume I am working on and I can only seem to find pre-painted or paper fans.

I honestly bought mine years ago from an oriental gift shop. They were pre-painted on fabric too, but I covered it up with another piece of fabric and painted my designs on top of that. If you have one in the area, you should check it out.

Thanks for the info! What is the best kind of glue to use that wont warp the end result? (I ended up picking paper fans and I want to glue fabric to it so I can add the pattern/colour and give it some strength.)

I would recommend spray adhesive. Its like glue in a can. You can get it at Michaels or any other craft store. When I made my fans, I was still pretty inexperienced with making props and I used hot glue.

How did you get the designs on top look so good! X3 I can't figure out of a way to get them on there without making them look so weird.

I drew out the designs on newspaper and I traced it onto the fabric. I put glue or you could use any type of liquid substance that dries and help keep the ends from fraying, because brocade will! then I cut it out and sew it onto the shirt wherever I need it

I basically free hand. A lot of trial and error process goes into all my costumes. I usally take old clothes and take them apart from the seams to look at the patterns and how to put the parts together and apply it into my costumes
