I'm always drawing cutesy themes, so I was going for something different, something scary-ish? haha I hope I achieved that xD I spent more time on this than usual, roughly 7-8 hours? I wasn't really keeping track of time.girl vs. shadow creatures...who will win?
For the blood, I used some brushes that I found at [link]
-drawn on opencanvas, colored on PhotoshopCS3
--added tears, I knew I felt like it was missing something. Thanks to for the help.

It is indeed a bit different! And more focus on the background than usual too (that is, the central figure doesn't take up more than half of the image! Very nicely done!
Though, my only complaint is, this is still pretty cutesy! Especially for a somewhat scary/violent scene you're trying to convey o.o? In other words, don't worry about playing it safe...more blood XDDD! Don't be afraid to make her "ugly", like...some sweat maybe, and messy hair, some signs of tears and fright on her face? XD. She still seems relatively neat for a girl with torn clothing and wounds. Don't get me wrong though, this is still very well done! Poor girl

I would say it's very good. She's drawn very well and the colors are wonderful!
I'm not so sure she looks afraid so much as she looks relieved here. My initial thought upon seeing the pic was that she has been found in the woods by someone she knows and is very relieved that this person has shown up to save her. I was also thinking that was who she was looking at(since she seems to be looking at someone off camera).
It's still very good though! Good job!

It's hard to get out of your element and work on something different. Working on different styles takes time, though, so just keep working at it! You'll do just fine!

Sorry to say this but, the girl looks painfully cute and the setting wouldn't even scare a baby.
Still, one has to start from somewhere and this is but one small step.
