I like how soft the fadings looks Though, did you use a reference picture? 'Cause if not, I'd believe you should have ad som more muscles to his arms, since he has a beefy chest and stomach. However, I like it a lot

Thanks I did add a reference and he didn't have any bulging veins to really add.

May we see the reference? To me, the shoulders look a little too close to the torso, which gives the appearance of having small arms.

I can't find the reference but I did spend the most time on proportions. I would over lay the image to see how close I was. I would remove the overlay and try again. When doing studies I try my hardest to get the proportions correct and find where soft and hard edges occur.

That's a good way to go about both proportions and values+ edges.

yeah because the most important part of a study is to see what you are doing wrong imo. by doing this it would pretty much allow for perfect proportions. I only did this for the line art. I looked at the reference for all of the shading.
