"I have mastered the elements a thousand times in a thousand lifetimes. Now, I must do it once again."The cycle continues with Avatar Roku.
This time i saved my self some time and only did flats with this sort of cell shading instead.
Since all the bending techniques on Avatar were based on real world martial arts (e.g. Shaolin Kung Fu for the fire bending or Hung Gar for the earth bending), i looked at some kung fu poses for reference. I ended up with multiple sheets of possible poses. This was all in all relatively simple and i'm quite happy with the result.
