Good question, naturally the sun will be there somewhere but just out of frame there are a couple of flying lighting stands to help illuminate her from all angles.

To be honest dude I got a bit lazy with this one, I was probably unhappy with this picture from quite some time back but for some reason i kept persisting with it.

Very frustrating so I'm going to try and draw another female character to see if I can get things right

Practise makes perfect! You're not far off to be honest, you have a lot of it aced - although everyone can make improvements, no matter what Just keep striving for the best!
