Maybe he means a tortillon... which you can find at like an arts/crafts store in the drawing section... Hope that helps.

If I remember well, I did by softly stroking the paper with a sharpened eraser!

this is really nice but the eyes dont mach. They look like you did them with CG. I think that if the eyes are THAT white, then you need some of that white in with the skin. just yesterday I started the same drawing lmao...

I know, I kind of romantised the picture which made the eyes slightly lighter than they were in the original picture (although that pic was probably photoshopped too..)! Also, in real life the eyes match the skin a little more, I don't know why my scanner did that to my drawing, haha
