Description
This at this point in my life/career this piece is my pride and joy. This painting holds so much personal meaning to me. I spent nearly a month and a half on this peice devoting 3-4 hours a day. This is a 5ft x 2ft oil painting on canvas. It was to large to scan so I took a picture and then because of the mixing mediums i used in the paints there was a glare from the light behind me, so I did a little editing in photoshop. The stars were an accidental addition, they were actually splattered off of a brush i was using to paint the back ground on a different piece. This painting was leaning against a nearby wall and the splatter just landed that way. Turned out to look even better than i could have done if i had tried to put them on there myself!

To me, I see the simple frog as a symbol of life, of fertility, and of rebirth. Their song symbolizes the new year, new spring, the begining of new generations. Taken for granted these little guys are.
