This takes me right back to the beginning of the game.Β I saw this first on Metroid HQ's Facebook page, then I had to Fave it and share it on Tumblr.Β Very well done.

Thanks for the love! There's something about the mood when you first land on Zebes.

Would it be alright if I used this picture asΒ a background picture for one of 10 songs featured in an upcoming video of mine on YouTube, called So Cold 10 Metroid Remixes Video III? I will definitely make sure to credit you for your work. And, if you want to look me up on YouTube before the video is finished, search "Jac0Frost0" and "s0c01da116utz31dav1d" on YouTube.
Oh. P.S.: I'll send you a link when I'm done.

Woah. This is really nice, totally captures Samus' arrival on Zebes for the events of the game nicely (at least in my mind, anyway!)
Also, Epic Lightning Strike needs to be a thing with her. Period.

Playing it for the first time last summer, I noticed that the atmosphere still held up to this dat. I was immediately drawn it. I totally get why it's considered a classic and so happy I played it. I agree with the lightning strikes, haha.

Woo!Β I was a little kid during basically the entire SNES era of gaming and missed almost every game experience from it. Until a friend of mine gave me a disc with all of his emulators and ROMs of NES and SNES games, and I got to play a -ton- of them...This was back when I had a really worthless Internet connection, so downloading that kind of stuff was out of the question. Most of my gaming experiences have been from the N64 generation on up, but I actually started with the NES, and Metroid was one of my first games.
I remember, distinctly, walking past a display stand in Best Buy in a city near where I live and seeing Super Metroid on sale. I wanted it so badly, but my parents don't believe in video games so I had to buy everything myself...Let's just say, at the time I did not have the means to afford a SNES =/ Which was sad, because I played the hell out of Metroid and Metroid II...As well as every Zelda I could get my hands on. If I might suggest something? You've played Super Metroid...if you've not had the opportunity to try another classic, I strongly suggest you check out The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past.
...It's weird, because stuff like this makes me feel really old, but I'm only in my 20s T.T Am I allowed to miss childhood yet?
Probably not. But I kind of do anyway!

Nah, it's good to yearn for those childhood moments, I still get them to this day playing certain games like the Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite.

There are not enough words to describe the awesomeness of this artwork. It's a beautiful representation of one of the greatest Nintendo titles ever.
And yes, several games are quite easy - I often drift back to the unforgiving Etrian Odyssey series for a nice challenge. However, it's a bit better than transferring arcade games, which were meant to make you pump in quarters so you wanted that one more chance, to a console, where they were just irritating.

Indeed, looking around and exploring is very good. It's why I like the early Zeldas so much.
