Fanart Friday for November 22, 2013 [TUMBLR POST ]
The inspiration for this came about in a funny way: I was watching PotC: On Stranger Tides and I was looking at some Darkwing Duck Fanart when I came across a pic of Darkwing Dubloon (who only showed up in one episode of the show) in one of the DW groups I watch here on dA, and I was like, "Eh, what the heck!" and then I drew DWD. As a Pirate. AKA Darkwing Dubloon. LOL. Good episode.
Pic is pretty good. I used a pose I was saving for a future pic of Leo, 'cause sword poses rock, and upon colouring this, I realized I need to purchase some darker shades of purple. Apparently 'Lavender' is the darkest "Darkwing Purple" I have, so... I need to remedy that. Pencils get a bit messy and make me go through blenders much too quickly. There's a LOT of clone stamping on this one to clean up the smudges I had on it. FEH. But... it still looks good. It's been far too long since I've drawn DW. Hope y'all still love me anyway, hah hah

Jim Cummings' Darkwing Duck doing a bad British accent. LOL. Anyone else notice he was the ONLY MAJOR CHARACTER that was using a British inflection? Just saying, I think he was faking it LOL.
