I liked a lot this famous photo portait of Johnny Depp, so I wanted just have some fun and see if I could catch the peculiar expression on his face.Unfortunately I cannot ask to the real model to pose for me..

His face is very difficult to made: the texture of his coat is too hard to reproduce ...He is awesome Β and his gaze seems so real and his nose so well doneΒ
Do you think that I have to use a 7B pencil instead of a 2BΒ for portraits? (I use a 2B pencil but I iron it several times )
I find it hard to darken my drawings , like in this portrait gigi28.deviantart.com/art/inte⦠, because everything in the right side of the cheek is jet black in the real picture.Also, do you think I transcribed the emotion in her eyes?
I'm always afraid when the phase shading clothes began especially the effect of drapery, and texture, light ...
