Description This is Ruby falls, a 150 foot tall underground waterfall that is 1100 feet below the surface of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee ! One reaches the falls by descending 26 floors into the mountain via an elevator shaft and then theres a 1/2 mile hike into the heart of the mountain itself. The euphoric colors come from the lighting installed by the park service (which actually cycle through a series of colors and natural lighting as you enter the cavern the falls is located in)

It was a really spectacular thing to behold in person and im glad that despite being forced to use ISO 2000, the 5DmkII proved to produce very little noise

I was there when I was invited as a speaker to Chattacon! Lookout Point was a great town-- loved Ruby Falls!
