Great job on the details! The top of the acorn is kind of dark though, maybe you could lighten it up with some texture? Maybe some kind of background as well. I'm thinking snow, since it's the Ice Age. His wary eye could be looking at a snowflake as it falls down, everything is a threat! It's already great! But it could be amazing!
