Everything felt increasingly painful as the seconds turned to minutes, the minutes turned to hours, the hours turned to days, the days turned to weeks, the weeks turned to months, and the months turned to years.
Walking on all fours became increasingly difficult as her back cried out for mercy.
Her limbs were no longer balanced as her back legs grew longer and stronger than her front legs.
She could tell that height wasn't the only thing that was getting bigger, either.
She had gained quite a bit of chub now that she no longer slept well, no longer played much, and ate often enough as a sort of coping mechanism. Not that it really helped much.

Mother was the one who told her.
Of course she had to obey.
"You're becoming a a biped my little princess; you've got to get up and walk like one."
Turns out that she was growing up.
