I don't know. I'm just gonna be honest. You see a uy gave me a gallery of pictures of Chun-Li then asked me to render specific ones. Later a guy told me the artist for one of the Chun-Li's so I assumed that all of them were by him.Β

Rendering in graphical terms means to erase the background from the image so it can be used for graphical things. If you type 'gfx tags' into google images, you'll see a lot of edited pictures with added things. Renders (images which have been rendered) are used in the making of tags. It looks like a copy&paste job in a way it is, but it isn't. I've edited the background out but the actual character has had no modifications.Β

Well I took on the term 'rendering' from the forums which I work on. It's a widely know term as far as I know.Β
If you image search for a characters name then add renders on the end you will have a png file of the said character which people who mostly gfx will use for a tag/banner.Β
For example: If you search google images and type 'naruto renders' you will have a a search page full of png files of naruto.Β
