Tariq Brooks is one of the most outstanding students at Coral Ridge High. A 4.0 GPA, Student Body President, and captain of the basketball team. Despite his bloated schedule, he stays on top of things really well. Almost too well. Maybe it's his parents constantly comparing him to his older siblings or his own drive to prove them wrong, but at this point the stress was starting to get to him. despite that Tariq keeps a positive and friendly outlook, even though some days he just wants to tell every one to leave him the hell alone.

One of the many responsibilities of the Student Body president is showing transfer students around the school as a means to make them feel like they belong. He's never had a problem with doing this, but there was something off about this new kid: Will Kaijou. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but there was clearly something stressing him out that Tariq couldn't really put his finger on. He'd find out soon enough.

Tariq decided to invite Will to hangout with him and a few of his friends after school. Will had reluctantly said yes, but when the time came, he was nowhere to be found. Tariq didn't really expect him to be a flake like this based on their earlier interactions. As he made his way to his car after seeing most his friends leave, he heard some odd sounds coming from the back of school. Against his better judgement, Tariq went to check it out. He'd soon wish he hadn't.

At the back of the school Tariq witnesses Will transform into a some sort of costumed hero as he does battle with a monster. He's shocked by what he's seeing. Will is clearly struggling against the monster on his own. Tariq realizes that he can't beat it by himself. All of a sudden a strange Crystal bonds to him, and he becomes the second Metamorphin' Power Ranger: the Blue Ranger. After the fight, Will explains the situation to Tariq, and that now if they want to stand a chance against Vandora's army, they need to find the others. Tariq is initially against this because the last thing he needs to be worry about the fate of the world when he has more than enough on his plate as it is. However he realizes that there are more important things than just his own his own well being. He decides to joint up with Will ad help him keep the world safe. That's two down, three to go.

As the Blue Ranger, Tariq fights with the Power Javelin and commands the Wolf Metazord .
