Hey guys!
Decided to compare my major styles---anime and semi-realism(?)
This time I used my OC Vivian
I missed drawing her~

Rather then giving a crit on the picture as a whole, I get a feeling you're looking for crit as a comparison.
While I am not all that skilled in critique, I will do my best.
The Anime drawing is very good. The strudture of the face is very accurate from what I can see. and the eyes give her the look of a child being caught doing something she perhaps shouldn't have. Its adorable. I'd have said the girl pictured was about 6 to 8 years old.
The semi realistic style is far more complex. The eye have more of a shape to them that we can associate with an actual person. The whole feel of the picture makes it more believable and relatable. I'd have placed this one in her mid teens. Maybe 13 to 15? She looks older and more believeable. Its good that you've still got some manga style in there because it shows where you began and it shows what you love, but its a much more mature style.
The thing i would work on is the face shape. Its still very very manga looking (the pointed chin and straight looking cheeks). Its certaintly a unique style and its been a priviledge to watch you develop into this style.

Yes, I was wondering how people could differentiate my two styles despite the obvious. For the most part, I'm more familiar with Anime style because that's the art style that I've been clinging to longer (and yes, anime is my roots

They both look like anime to me. One is the cutesy anime type and then the other is the more realistic type that you see in all those dramatic anime shows and pictures. Both are nicely done though xD

Semi realistic looks better. I think the anime one has too big irises in continuous eyes.

Anime is cuter yeah, but Vivian looks like she's about 8 years old. Your semi realism is still manga based but with realistic influences, which looks more mature and, in my eyes, more refined.
There is nothing wrong with manga, but I just think your semi realistic style suits you more.
