Description The Help I Should Seek

Shaking like a leaf I reach for the door
Hoping inside there will be help leading to a cure

The door opens to an unfamiliar lady sat comfortably in her chair
I begin to panic as I know my emotions she will strip bare

My breathing deepens yet I force a smile
Looking only past her at the greyness of the tile

I will not allow my stare to meet her eyes
Petrified that with her I can tell no lies

My true feelings and thoughts I will have to reveal
Explain how my innocence they were to steal

I will get judged on my thoughts that went so far
Especially those ones that left a scar

All the times I have questioned whether in this world I belong
Telling her of all the times I thought I did so well to remain strong

Maybe with the true me I can finally come face to face
Not look at myself and think β€œwhat a disgrace”

Perhaps this is the help I need the everyone thought I should seek
However fear is still present and who knows whether I will speak
