Description Last night I cried myself to sleep
Silently to my teddies I did weep

How can I miss something I never had?
Everyone is so happy but I guess Iā€™m kind of sad

I now feel lonely and empty inside
The tears I fought but I could not hide

I prepared myself for the worst so when I got the result I cried
Grateful but also hoping maybe it had lied

During the weeks I was unsure my maternal instincts came out
When I smoked or drank at myself I would shout

I think Iā€™m just confused, happy but sad
Is it possible to miss something I never had?

I like the almost child like approach to such a serious topic you used. "Silently to my teddies I did weep" conjures an image of a lost, little girl, a strong contrast to the 5th stanza. This is simply excellent!
