This is my entry for 's Forgotten Folklore Contest.I had something totally different in mind when I started this, but I ended up with something simple. I wanted to capture that moment when Gueneviere realizes that she has lost everything. She has lost Arthur, she has lost Lancelot and she has lost herself as well.
Some people like to believe that she was bewitched to love Lancelot, while others like to believe in the romance of true love. I walk the line between the two.
One of my favorite Arthur movies is First Knight. I always laugh at poor Gueneviere in that movie. There is no way I would EVER leave a Sean Connery Arthur for a Richard Gere Lancelot, but that is just me
The reason I love that movie is that in it Gueneviere truly loves Arthur. Lancelot is truly loyal to Arthur and never means to betray him, but he does love her. She gives one moment to Lancelot and it costs her everything. In the end she remains true to her king and her love, even though Arthur is dying. He knows that she always loved him. On top of all that the music is wonderful... and the scene where they walk through the arch of knights to meet for the first time and gaze upon Camelot. Pure magic.Stock Credits:

Thank you so much. I really had a fun time making this one. I love the movie First Knight and I had watched it for the millionth time while I was trying to decide what to do with this piece. It is so funny how you are unable to do anything else once inspiration hits. I went from no idea what to do, to having a really complicated idea, to seeing this perfectly in my head. I am so glad you like it.

Thank you. I really feel like some times simplicity is the way to go, especially when you are trying to convey a strong emotion. It leaves no room for seeing anything other than that one thing. It is harder to go simple though... sometimes details let you hide little flaws. With minimal images it is all there to see.
