Description Mirror T'Nora, the owner/operator of the Casablanca Lounge on Farius Prime continues her earlier and very lucrative career as a smuggler. My OC by www.deviantart.com/sanefox

Mirror T'Nora, the youngest child of Mirror T'Var started out as a smuggler, running the Klingon/Cardassian Alliance's border with the Romulan Republic in her fast, Orion built cargo ship SELEYA. Running contraband for the Orion Syndicate was a dangerous yet very lucrative career but an unusual one for a Vulcan. T'Nora chose that career because of necessity, her people were being severely treated by the Alliance during the occupation. A virulent disease was sweeping across Vulcan infecting millions and killing hundreds of thousands. Brought on by the famine caused by the Alliance's food confiscation programme, Vulcan teetered on the verge of complete collapse.

The Klingons and Cardassians were immune to the virus thus they did not care what happened to the Vulcan people. The Vulcans worked tirelessly to find a cure for this plague but to no avail. The Alliance refused to give them help or allow anyone else to help the Vulcans. However, the Romulans had been studying the virus from afar. They had encountered a similar virus decades ago on one of their colony planets after a massive crop failure. A Romulan agent, disguised as a merchant, managed to get samples of the virus and smuggle it back to Romulus for testing. Weeks later the Romulans were able to come up with a cure for the virus and offered it to the Alliance to help the Vulcans. The Alliance refused the offer, warning the Romulans to stay out of the internal affairs of the Alliance.

When the Terran Resistance heard about this cure they immediately petitioned the Romulans for the drug. The Romulans agreed but would not transport the medicine across the border. The Resistance would have to not only come to Romulan space but find ways to get the medicine back past the Alliance border patrol and smuggle it to Vulcan. The Resistance called up their blockade runners who stepped up trips to Romulan territory but the Alliance also increased their patrols. Resistance losses began to climb as the Alliance fleet dispatched more ships to intercept blockade runners. The Resistance didn't have many dedicated blockade runners and the few that they had were too slow, only capable of warp 5.5 and were easily caught.

Only a trickle of the medicine needed reached Vulcan as the virus raged and deaths increased. T'Nora along with four companions had managed to get a legitimate trade licence from the Alliance and were allowed to purchase an old cargo ship they named SURAK from a Klingon used ship depot. With this ship they began to work a trade route from Bajor to Nausicca. This brought them into contact with the Orion Syndicate who exacted tribute from civilian haulers. As a compromise, T'Nora agreed to remain with and work for the Syndicate so that her partners could continue to run their business, unmolested. T'Nora, a skilled engineer by trade, soon became invaluable to the local Syndicate Capo who took a liking to the no nonsense Vulcan female. Her skill at keeping things repaired were appreciated by the Capo who began hiring her out to other Syndicate crews. The money T'Nora's skill brought to her Capo made him over joyed. He began giving T'Nora a cut of the profits and after six months she was not only able to purchase her freedom, but make a down payment on an older Orion fast transport.

She made the Capo a deal. If he helped her pay off the ship and buy the necessary parts for an engine upgrade, she would become his primary runner into and out of Romulan space. The Alliance crackdown had brought the Syndicate's smuggling operations to Romulus to a trickle. T'Nora was confident that with the ship she had purchased and the engine upgrades she would preform, she would be able to out run any Alliance ship she encountered. The Capo was skeptical at first but after T'Nora 'sweetened' the deal by offering her body to him if she failed, he agreed. Either way, he would come out on the winning end. If she succeeded, he would have a monopoly on Romulan black market trade making him rich. If she failed, he would possess this attractive and talented Vulcan woman who after he was done with her physically, would still fetch a profit on the slave market.

T'Nora was quite aware of what the Capo had in mind for her set about upgrading the ship that she named SELEYA after the sacred mountain on her homeworld. After three weeks of working around the clock, buying the new engine components and installing them alone, SELEYA was ready for trial runs. T'Nora increased the structural integrity of the ship so that it would stand up to the increased speeds it is now capable of. She launched on her trial run without incident, achieving warp 9.75 for four hours. SELEYA could easily outrun most Alliance vessels and T'Nora was confident she could coax more speed out of the ship with a little extra tweaking.

Two days later T'Nora made her first journey to Romulan space, successfully avoiding the Alliance patrols. She reached the Romulan planet of Galordon Core, a former Terran Empire planet that was ceded to the Romulan Republic by the Empire during the last days before the fall. By a prearranged deal, the Romulans took control of a fifteen light year deep, fifty light year long section of Terran space along their mutual border, saving several billion Terran Empire citizens from being overrun by the rampaging Klingons and Cardassians. Humans, Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites and Denobulans as well as a dozen other Terran allied species became Romulan subjects and were protected. These same people had to surrender their starships and heavy weapons, the few that remained, in order to be allowed to stay. The Romulans didn't fully trust them.

Galordon Core is the capital planet of this zone and is the seat of the Romulan government in this sector. It is also the homeworld of the Terran Resistance movement. It serves as the trade center for the outer region of the Romulan Republic. Legitimate trade as well as the black market operates here. Smugglers are tolerated as are Resistance operatives as long as they obey the law. The Romulans have stored the medicine for the Vulcans on Galordon Core at the military hospital.

T'Nora made contact with the Orion Syndicate's trade agents on Galordon Core and purchased the goods that the Capo ordered. Several tons of various Romulan trade goods were loaded into the hold of her ship. While she waited for the goods to be loaded, she made her way to the Romulan military hospital and inquired about the medicine for Vulcan. After being thoroughly questioned by Romulan authorities, she was given seven hundred liters of the cure with detailed instructions on how to synthesise it back on Vulcan. The shipment she took possession of would be enough to medicate over ninety million Vulcans. Several more trips to Galordon Core would be necessary to pick up enough medicine to cure all of the afflicted.

T'Nora left Galordon Core with the contraband and the medication. She proceeded to the Alliance border at low warp, scanning for patrol ships and the surveillance probes that the Alliance use to monitor unauthorised traffic along the border. She picked up the sensor net that the Alliance uses and carefully plotted a course through the weakest sector. She knew that that weakness was a ruse used to lure blockade runners into a trap. But it also provided the best place to cross over because the Alliance depends on the speed of their ships to spring trap on blockade runners. T'Nora's ship was far faster than any blockade runner and the Alliance patrol ships.

She carefully approached the border then crossed over at warp 2. The Alliance network sounded the alarm and several patrol ships sprung into action, approaching at warp 5. T'Nora knew that the Alliance ships would accelerate to warp 6 when they got close in order to cut her off from escape. The tactics that they've used successfully many times before because the smuggler ships maximum speed was warp 5.5.

"They are going to be in for a shock." She thought to herself as she watched the Alliance ships close in on her position on her scanner.

After a few tense moments of watching the patrol ships get closer, she powered up her ships engines to full, maneuvering into an advantageous position. As the Alliance ships hailed her, ordering her to stand to as they accelerated to warp 6. They would reach her within minutes. But T'Nora had not intention of being around when they arrive at her current location. Counting down slowly until the last moment, T'Nora gunned SELEYA's warp engines launching the ship forward at warp 8 streaking past the startled patrol ships. When the crews of those ships regained their composure after the initial surprise, they slammed their ships into higher warp, accelerating to warp 8.5 attempting to close the gap. That's when T'Nora pushed her ship to warp 9.5, leaving her persuers in space dust.

T'Nora arrived back at the Syndicate base with the Capo's shipment. The older Orion was esctatic when he was told that the 'Vulcan' had successfully completed her first mission. This shipment would bring in a hefty profit for the Syndicate and a large cut for the Capo himself. He greeted T'Nora happily at the docking port, hugging her tightly and warmly kissing her on the cheek. When he released her she wiped her cheek dry and begged her leave of him. He told her that she is getting a nice cut from this run but she asked him to apply it to her debt for the ship. She left immediately after the cargo was unloaded and headed to rendezvous with her old partners outside of the 40 ERIDANI solar system. She beamed the medication over to their ship along with the Romulan instructions.

T'Nora would go on to make twenty-two more runs to Galordon Core for the Orion Syndicate and the Vulcan people over the next eleven months. Due to her efforts the plague on the planet would end and the virus eradicated forever. She was able to pay back the start up money that Capo gave her and supervise the upgrades she used on other Syndicate ships. This made her more popular with the Capo and they actually became friends. He built her a villa on one of the Syndicate planets near unaligned space as a token of gratitude for her hard work. T'Nora appreciated the gift and brought several rare items from the Tzenkethi and Breen back to the Capo as gifts in return. The two often spent time together in his sauna and bathhouse relaxing and talking, sometimes for hours on various subjects. The Capo saw T'Nora as the daughter he never had and began teaching her about the inner workings of the Orion Syndicate. He had helped his niece seize power within the Syndicate hierarchy and she is now the 'Matron', the boss of bosses.

T'Nora continued her association with the Capo and the Syndicate for sometime. She sent a portion her earnings to her mother T'Var to be used for her two children who were being raised at Delta Aquilae. The rest she sent to fund the Resistance. She often made runs for them to Romulan space or the Tzenkethi and Breen. She would not officially join the Terran Resistance until an Alliance agent posing as a Resistance member killed the Capo after the Capo discovered his true identity. T'Nora took it upon herself to avenge her old friend, hunting the murderer down and killing him.

It was a matter of honor for her, but it unexpectedly won her the undying gratitude and affection of the Matron of the Orion Syndicate. The Capo had been her favourite uncle and sort of a father figure to her. The Matron gave T'Nora the Casablanca Lounge on Farius Prime as a reward.

So T'Nora became a club owner. But she still makes runs to Breen or Romulan space for the Resistance..... She is still a smuggler at heart....
