Description Alright, since I'm bored and it's Halloween, I feel as though I should do some deep probing into this creepypasta. Is it really necessary? Not really, but I could use some practice with reading comprehension anyway, since it was never my strong suit. If you're reading this and are sick of hearing about this creepypasta, you might as well stop reading right now. For the rest of you, please carry on. Keep in mind I am writing from memory.
----------
"..." being Gold's name
As explained in the creepypasta, Gold was forgotten by time bit by bit.

"TURN BACK NOW"/"YES/NO"
If the player answers "YES", the original pasta storyline is acted upon, with Gold willingly turning back on his achievements, realizing that his efforts were either meaningless or that his later life was terrible for his Pokemon. And he is willing to atone for his mistakes, not realizing just how the Unowns would have him do that.

On the other hand, if the player repeatedly refuses ("NO"), the Unowns send Gold back in time, represented by him walking backwards while slowly getting darker himself. In addition, the Unown's message "TOOBAD" reflects that "no matter what, you ARE going to pay for the sins you've committed against your allies, your rivals, and yourself". Their eyes turn red during the duration of the "Hidden" segment because they are furious with Gold for refusing to simply die for what he's done. However, the slight change of gravestone (R.I.P. ...) may reflect that Gold understands why the Unown are punishing him.

Hurry/"PLEASE!"
We'll start at Hurry's mother, even though we meet the child first. After going back in time by refusing to turn back, Hurry vanishes, now the egg of "PLEASE!". The Typholsion that Gold grew up with is the first to go chronologically (since Re: Lost Silver has not been made yet). It gradually disappears into a spirit, from foot to head, sort of mirroring Gold's own death. "PLEASE!" is not the name of the Typholsion, but rather, the mother's dying wish: "PLEASE protect my child!" Of course, combining the "Gold is a merciless bastard" theory with my own, I come up with the theory that right now, HURRY (at this time, nameless) is being forced to fight battles against tough opponents (i,E., Silver's L90 Feraligatr) due to Gold's desire to be the absolute best. Again, at the end of it all, it means nothing. (See also: HEDIED)

Hurry losing two of his moves
After the message "HURRY is thrashing about!" is displayed, Hurry loses the move Thrash. Later on, after using "Nightmare" on "...WHERE...?" that move disappears too. HURRY himself is not truly born for battle. He is hampered in battle by his potential desire to not cause pain to his opponents or even his slightly cruel trainer. After killing the Feraligatr, Hurry is so ashamed he begins to hurt himself, eventually leaving himself close to death, which ultimately allows him to commit "suicide by trainer" when Gold orders him to use Flash.

DENY/WHO ARE YOU KID
Gold denies that he's outlived his training life; again, later on in life, he became fueled only by a desire to win, forgoing even basic logic and even etiqutte (immediately using [][] on his own rival's Feraligatr). Even though by this point he might not be a kid necessarily, "WHO ARE YOU KID" reflects his nature. They all echo that he's nothing more than a shadow of his former self, the one that first defeated Red all those years ago.

Silver and "...WHERE...?"
As Gold exits Mt. Silver with nameless HURRY, he notices his Rival. Knowing that he got some odd item that could be useful against the Feraligatr to allow Hurry to level up, he uses the [][] item, causing Feraligatr to fall asleep. Hurry is then ordered to use NIGHTMARE, which causes Feraligatr to have a violent nightmare that could possibly rival the Tsukuyomi from Naruto in terms of sheer brutality (that is, something that would make a Feraligatr cry out in pain due to 72 solid hours of torture). The side effect of [][] kicks in when Feraligatr faints, causing a backlash in which the Feraligatr regresses to a Totodile as it dies. In addition, it also blanks the memory of the humans involved in it. At least, the first time around. Gold is the only one to witness it the second time around, however, which thus leads to him accepting his fate. Basically, the other parts of Lost Silver lead to Gold remembering the things that he'd done later in life. He doesn't remember them if you just accept your fate (as previously outlined in the TURN BACK NOW section), as he does not understand why he's being punished.

As for Silver, much like everyone except Red, he is eyeless (will cover soon enough), and when you speak to him after beating his Feraligatr (it just makes sense that way, anyway), he merely says "Even..." and disappears. This can mean one of two things: 1) "Now we're even. You are abusing your Pokemon just like I used to. Now someone will stop you." Probably inconsistent given the item description I just outlined above, but then again, this is likely a pre-death hell for those that misuse that item; 2) "Even you will be forgotten by death..." No explanation needed, and might be the more accepted theory.

[][] (item)
Found in the Ruins of Alph much earlier on, this item just might be cursed, but only if it is used in battle. If Gold had not used this item, it is very likely that the Unown might not have known of his older self's atrocities. I will probably write more on the year that Re: Lost Silver is actually released when we know all about the unabridged story.

Discoloration of the world areas
Other than the whole "pre-death hell" thng I just mentioned, no further explanation needed.

Everyone in Hidden except Red having no eyes, with Red being a white ghost at the end
Only Red has truly seen the atrocities committed by Gold and has prior knowledge of the curse. However, while battling "PLEASE!" with his Pikachu, both Pokemon suffer life-threatening injuries, with Pikachu likely dying soon after. In order to break the curse of "[][]", Red traveled to the Spirit Tower (what I call the tower in which Gold is put on trial), and sacrificed himself in an obvious way (either by self-hanging or by decapitation).

Meanwhile, everyone seems to be oblivious. Everyone, however, has been cursed, including Gold. No one truly knows what the curse is capable of except for Red. Oak fell victim, as he was the one directly researching it (with help from Elm, who had likely seen Gold with the item). The Gym Leaders of Johto and Lance fell victim as they had battled Gold in his prime, and had not yet truly witnessed the depth of Gold's desire to be a master. His mother fell either out of severe depression or just because by the time LS happened, she was already dead. This is probably the part that makes little sense given all the other stuff I stated so far, but it's obvious the "[][]" did more than just put ...WHERE...? to sleep in every sense of the word.

HEDIED
Obviously, Hurry dies due to overexertion. Many Pokemon before that point had been greviously injured or killed by Gold's actions. This was the first phase of the Unown's punishment, by taking away his ability to throw Pokeballs. Either way, at this point, Gold understands what he's done, and has the sad and empty look on his face. After meandering around inside his own grave (the Unowns gave him a teaser of where he'd end up, in an unnamed grave; unless Hidden is taken, in which case, the name was just obscured), Gold is pulled down to level 2...

DYING
Now Gold can no longer move properly, his legs gone. His entire body, clothes and all, turns pale white in that he is now just as much of a ghost as Red was earlier when he followed him here. In addition, the understanding of what he's done wrong or the fact that he can't remember causes Gold to cry tears of blood in belated apology for HURRY or in frustration that he can not remember what it was that he did. In addition, there is half a Celebi with him.

The Celebi may well be the same Celebi that Gold had gotten seriously injured via Ho-Oh. This may have been either just after the "[][]" item was discovered, or slightly after it was used, that Gold decided to track down Ho-Oh. Either way, Ho-Oh saw the danger that it posed, and conjured his most powerful Sacred Fire ever. Celebi rejoins Gold because he wanted to see how well Gold was suffering for what he had done to him. The injuries that Celebi suffered were severe. It turned away to try and defend its trained, and wound up suffering terrible burns to its right side, while the other side was charred to a broiled red. Celebi fights Pikachu, because, like Red, Gold, and Pikachu, they may have all been wanting one final battle before dying off permanently

Final Battle with Red
Red is transparent since he's already mostly passed on. However, unlike Gold, Red continued to respect his Pokemon and became a real master. His Pikachu, saddened by the crimes he'd witnessed shortly before his death, has been granted terrible strength through its frustration at the crime it witnessed. It has been frightened by the capabilities of Man, and hopes that fighting Celebi might give it some sort of reprieve. Gold, meanwhile, has already had his fill, and can not bring himself to order another Pokemon to battle, either out of the frustration that he doesn't know exactly what he did to his Pokemon, or the self-loathing that the revelation had brought out, so Celebi auto-pilots.

"Pikachu used CURSE!" - Pikachu finally is the one to break the news to Gold that there was a curse over everything, and, out of its sorrow, strikes itself in the process.
"Celebi used Perish Song!" - Self-explanatory, really. Celebi wants to take Pikachu with him, hoping that the battle will allow it to gain some understanding of the better qualities of trainers.
"Pikachu used Flail!" - Pikachu can't stop thinking about the crimes he'd witnessed, and strikes the half of Celebi that is there, but Celebi continues to sing anyway.
"Pikachu used Frustration!" Pikachu launches another violent attack, this time nearly driving Celebi to death. By this point, Pikachu could potentially be crying blood like Gold out of its frustration.
"Celebi used Pain Split!" Celebi, now with a thorough understanding of what the Pikachu sees in Red (again, he knew Gold only when he became obsessed with being the most powerful trainer in the world, no longer having true care for the Pokemon like he had as a child) and the pain that Pikachu saw in its final moments, shares the pain.
"Pikachu used Mean Look!" Pikachu shoots a death glare past Celebi and to Gold, as though blaming him for all the wrongs he'd caused inadvertently. Gold, by this point, understanding or not, has no objections to this.
At this point, Celebi, having only half a body, is the first to expire, as its body is deteriorated. Feeling the ill effects of the song, and not willing to die alone, at the same time illustrating to Gold that this was now just a matter of destiny, Pikachu finishes the battle with Destiny Bond, dying himself, fading away.

When Gold looks on Red, he notices Red has lost his head. He briefly recalls how he once wished he could become like him, and fades out to black...

NOMORE
Lacking everything but his head, Gold represents two things:
1) NO MORE abuse; he will have changed for the experience were he not already dead.
2) The fact that he once fancied being where Red's head was: on the shoulders of the greatest Pokemon Master to ever live.

His overworld sprite is transparent and lacks a walking animation because he is nearly dead. His house is empty because years have passed. As he exits the house into the void, Gold feels he must see his younger self, his more kind self, and say farewell to it.

"Goodbye forever ...."
Gold has forgotten even his own name by now, but knows that in his past life he was a lot kinder to everyone. He sees his own smiling face one last time, immediately after he had usurped Red for the first time. He gives a forlorn sigh just before the Unown finally remove him from existance.

Final - IMDEAD
Gold is now completely dead, no more than a ghost of the past, just like the Gym Leaders he had won the badges from. His fame was futile, and maybe even ill-gained, as his badge count was reset to 0 upon death.

Dependent on whether or not Hidden was completed:
R.I.P. ... - Gold did not understand what he had done to Pokemon, but he died with the knowledge he had done something
R.I.P. PKMN Trainer Gold - Gold dies with a thorough understanding of what he had done wrong, and the Unown perhaps reward his understanding.

Misc. - The Complete Pokedex and Badge Count Fluctuation
Gold does keep his Pokedex complete throughout the whole thing, but increases his badges each time he goes deeper into the hell that he himself created due to the use of [][] in that way. At the very end, they are removed.

16 badges - Gold is confused how he ended up in the Spirit Tower with an injured Hurry. Possibly refuses to turn back, but is otherwise content with the fame he had garnered himself.
24 badges - Gold has lost his arms, the fame having cost him the ability to use his Pokemon properly (so the Unown took his arms away), with Hurry dying due to overexertion while gravely injured. Gold begins to understand that maybe his fame had a steep cost to everyone.
32 badges - Gold has now lost his legs, no longer able to make the correct move. He also seemed to prefer driving from place to place (represented possibly by the removal of his legs if my previous explanation did not suffice) rather than walk. By now, Gold has realized something had gone wrong, and regrets the price of fame.
40 badges - Near death, Gold remembers just how he had beaten the last 8 Gym Leaders, and had narrowly beaten Red in that final battle that ultimately left both their Pokemon close to death. He remembers he hadn't exactly won as fairly as he had for the first 20 or so. He also understands how futile the fame was and accepts his fate.
0 badges - Well, fame was meaningless, now wasn't it Gold? Especially the fame you hadn't gained fairly.

The completed Pokedex just sort of fits in - after all, a Pokemon master isn't one without a 100% complete Pokedex, now is it?

Lastly, the Unowns. As previously explained, they administer the punishment to Gold for being cruel and misusing the "[][]" item he had been bestowed earlier to put his rival's Pokemon to sleep. I just have a feeling that "[][]" item is the driving force behind the entirely of the Lost Silver plot.
-------
So yeah, that's pretty much my summation of Lost Silver, off the top of my head. Well, if you may, write any comments. Oh, and I'm probably too late to actually enter that contest, but I made this out of pure boredom anyway, so meh, doesn't bother me any. Don't want to be known on dA as "the man who has way too much damn time on his hands" quite yet.

UPDATE: 11/11/2011

So the night before, I had a very vivid dream of some part of Lost Silver that we will never see. From what I remember of it, Gold still had lost all his limbs, was pale white and crying blood. Except he had to navigate through a maze of NPCs of varying genders and age. I don't remember everything about the dream, but one old man said something demonic. Of particular note was the fact his speech came out in the FireRed/LeafGreen era, if I'm remembering right. The NPCs did not appear to be black and white like they were when you walked up to find Red, but you were able to talk to them and they gave off interesting tidbits.

Lost Silver: Hell Edition would be about right...

This is brilliant! I was in the mood for reading Pokemon Creepypastas this morning, and reread Lost Silver. It got me curious all over again about the meaning, and this is just what I've been looking for. Thanks so much for putting it together!
