Personality
P O S I T I V E
{Adaptable - Empathetic - Trustworthy - forgiving}
Adaptability, physically and mentally, comes with the life. Chi has learned that you need to adapt to survive, but she has taken it in stride and learned how to be a very flexible cat. She's pretty good as taking situations and getting comfortable in them really fast. Chioni is a pretty empathetic cat, shes good at making sure others feel heard and related to, plus she has been through some stuff so it's not hard to relate. Going along with her empathy, Chi is trustworthy, and will keep your secrets. She's usually the kind stranger willing to help you out, and is really into the pay it forward kind of repayment. She just likes to help others and keep them safe. She's also forgiving, which once used to come to her not so naturally. She knows people make mistakes, and she knows everyone is just trying to protect themselves in the long run.
N E U T R A L
{overprotective - honest - Realistic }
As someone who has continually lost many things over the course of her life, Chioni tends to be overprotective of those near her. She's a bit paranoid that everything will end up going wrong, and she can't do anything. She's very honest, and isn't that scared to speak her mind. She will talk back for her best interest and the interest of others, she knows if you don't speak up then you are just dragged along. She is also realistic about situations, she knows not a lot of things go her way, and she is willing to admit it.
N E G A T I V E
{impractical - Disorganized - pessimistic }
Her impracticality stems from being thrown into impractical situations. She always thinks of the grandest escape, the most theatrical path. It's always some kind of fantasy that is unattainable for most cats, but she likes to try and go for it anyway. Shes also very disorganized, not quite sure what is going on and just taking it one day at a time. She sucks at planning and anything like it. Just barge in, you know? Chioni is a major pessimist. Nothing has ever really gone right for her... so she assumes the worst, always. Sometimes we need to be positive!

History
Chioni was born into a litter of two, herself, and her brother, Vouno. They were born high in the Himilayans, far from any humans. They were raised like any snowies in the wild, up until they were about 3 months old. A human tribe was making their way through the mountain pass where the family resided. Neither of their parents had ever encountered a human before, so the fight ended before it started. The adults were speared, and killed. The cubs were taken by the tribe, and would be sold to the Roman empire.
Big cats fetched a nice fortune for the romans.
They traveled for months, crossing through the ottoman empire, before landing in Greece. Vou was a larger cub, so he was sold into the military as soon as they arrived. Chioni was sold to a wealthy man with an eye for pretty pelts and big cats in general.
He also had a thing for ring fights.
At the age of about 8 months, Chioni was thrown into her first ring fight. From there, she was forced to fight for her life, on a daily basis. They traveled along the coast, until they eventually came to the man's home, right outside Massilia. During one of her final fights, against a rather large lion, two of her ribs, and one of her paws ended up broken. Her owner had no intention to heal her, he was planning on letting her die, and keeping her pelt.
Chioni, had other plans. She was left in a barn, where she was supposed to waste away. The doors were easy to open, so she dragged herself away, and into the night. A day or so later, she was found, half dead on the lightning empire border. She lived with the empire, healing and learning, until she was two years old. Just her luck, everything always went bad. She was captured, and thrown in the colosseum. A month later, she was drugged and prepared for a breeding. Three and a half months later, she gave birth to five cubs. Five cheetah snowy mixes, her whole entire world. She was determined to break out. A month or so in captivity with newborns was awful, but eventually, one night, she mananged to escape. With the help of a rouge hunter and the cat who sired her children, they made their way through the streets of Massilia, coming upon a sickly, nearly dead cub. Chioni picked him up, and they kept moving.
They made it to lightning, unpersued.
Chioni raised her cubs in lightning, until they were about 1 year, three months old.
Out of nowhere, she dissapeared.
She had been patrolling the lightning borders, when she was attacked by a pack of hunting dogs, followed by men on horseback. She was quickly taken down, tied up, and dragged back to a train of caravans. It was accompanied by some of the most odd creatures she had ever seen. She soon learned it was something called a 'circus'. A travelling entertainment show, that tortured animals and people, for viewer entertainment.
Originally, they had the plan to tame the snowie and allow her to act as a pet. They realized that wouldn't work when she clawed off one of the men's faces, and booked it for the woods. She was caught again, and they decided she would be entertainment, like the rest of the animals.
At first, it was stupid things, like jumping over boxes, (not cooperating meant whips) and then it devolved into fights with the other animals, and sometimes people. They would force her to walk over hot coals and would punish her if she refused.
She was with the circus for over a year and a half, when in the middle of the night, everything caught on fire. Tents, grass, anything, blazed. Chioni was locked in a cage, surrounded but dozens of others in cages. They screamed and pushed at bars, but to no avail. They were all sweltering, pelts singed, when one of the men ran in, and started unlocking cages. Chioni was in no shape to walk, so she was dragged out by a lion. This was their chance to escape though, so he dropped her and ran into the woods.
Despite the fact her paws were badly burned and bleeding, her will to live was slightly stronger than wanting to just lay there. She managed to pick herself up, and drag herself into the woods. She hid in a large foxhole for days, waiting until the circus men tired themselves. This time, they didn't have dogs to help them. They all perished in the fire.
Once they gave up, she dragged herself out, limping her way in a random direction. Eventually, she made it to a human encampment, a bunch of soldiers accompanied by many cats. She assumed they were hunters or military cats, and realized they were probably her only chance at help. She dragged herself forward, yowling and made sure her act was finished with a dramatic fall, right in front of quite a few humans and cats.
They rushed forward to help, knowledge of the circus fire fresh on their minds. They bandaged her paws, and laid her with their troupe. She got to know two of the military cats, who told her they were on their way to Rome. She knew, when they got to rome, that would be her chance. She knew of a different form of empires there, and many of them knew the trip to get back to the empires.
The trip didn't take long, maybe a month and a half. By the time they got to rome, Chioni had yet to be healed. Many of the wounds from whips had yet to heal, leaving her in debilitating pain every time she walked. Many cats had to assist her to even get around. The army knew she was of very little use to them, so they dropped her off at the Bounty Hunters in Rome. She knew of one of them, her niece, ava.
Ava's family took her in, where she was introduced to her cubs and mate. She stayed with them for months, until she healed fully. Eventually chioni couldn't bear to lie to Ava any more, and admitted she had family in the empires, in massilia. She expected to be caged and thrown away, but the cat was oddly sympathetic. She understood how hard it was to be away from family, and had... second thoughts about the hunter program herself. She gave basic directions, and opened the door for her aunt.
Chioni promised to repay her, eventually. And dissapeared. The trek proved to be painful. Even though her wounds were healed, the continuous usage of her paws led to the breaking open of fresh scars. She made it, mostly. She recognised the butsle of caravans, the roads, the tree markers. She passed out from pain in an unmarked part of the woods.
She woke up, accompanied by a dark colored serval. The cat had taken the liberty to bandage and salve her paws, and scolded her for the infections caused. Her name was alice, and she offered Chioni a place to stay, to recover, until she could walk, as long as Chi maintained a kind of 'I owe you'.
And that is where she resides, waiting, for her health to improve.
