Description
Team Star Seeker proceeded through the Creeping forest. Each step brought them closer to their destination. It was strangely lifeless as the approached the area ware Tikay hoped to find the Glowing Flowers. Normally the sound of birds and other Pokemon living in this area could be heard, but it remained unusually silent as they finally came across an open area where a large cliff blocked off any farther attempts to move forward. Tikay turned to look at her partner. They had come a far distance in a few minutes and she was worried about how Gabi and Will had held up. Gabi’s cheeks were red from the cold but Will seems to be handling well to the snowy conditions. Gabi acknowledged Tikay gaze with a small nod and continued to walk forward. “W-ware is the r-rift you talked about Tikay?” Gabi was trembling from the cold as she spoke. They couldn’t spend much more time in this kind of weather Tikay needed to hurry. Tikay gaze scanned the cliff’s wall service for any trace of it. A flicker of doubt flashed in the back of Tikay’s thoughts. Had she passably lead them astray? “Uhh… I swore that was the right path…” Gabi walked forward and rested her hand on a nearby rock. “Did we take a wrong turn?” Tikay shook her head. “No we couldn’t have!”

Tikay started to walk along the wall looking for any sign of the entrance to the cave. With a sudden burst forward, Will charged up to the wall and let out a shrill cry. “Tikay over here I found something!” Gabi walked up to the wall and looked it over. “This is strange… The rocks here appear to have been placed here… there a different color then the rest of the wall…” Gabi stood to the side as Tikay also approached to inspect wall. Instinctively Tikay ran her paw over the wall to see if she could sense anything off about it. A bitter sting of cold caused her to draw her hand back. This entire section of rock was covered in a thin sheet of ice. “Weird… It’s as if someone covered it deliberately with ice.” And Idea came to Tikay. She looked over to will who stood next to her practically buried in the deep snow. Something was off about his appearance no that she hadn’t notice before. His color was off; will feathers had lost some of its orange glow and he almost looked pale. “W-will is everything alright? Do you feel… unwell or hurt” Tikay was struggling to find the right words to use in order to get a correct response from Will. Tikay was sure he was experiencing many new sensations today. He looked up almost feebly; quivering a little as he spoke. “I don’t… I think… I’m cold Tikay.” Tikay became reluctant to tell will her proposal. Taking a young fire type Pokemon out in bad weather was an extremely bad idea and she was starting to see that now. “Do you think you can keep going or do you want to go home? I’m sure Gabi can take you back if you want.” Will shook his head fiercely at Tikay’s suggestion. “No I’m ok I want to go on an adventure…”

Tikay became unsure of what to do. Gabi was giving no suggestions as she watched Will breath in and out. Gabi gave a quick glance at the wall then back down to will. “Hey Will could you possibly use your flamethrower on the wall? We might be able to break through and see what’s on the other side” Will gave Gabi a quick glance and nodded his head quickly. “Yes I can!” Both Gabi and Tikay took a step back in order to avoid getting singed by Will’s flames. Will’s chest puffed up as he sucked in a large breath in preparation for his attack. After a few seconds he let out his breath in a burst of flame which bathed the side of the cliff in orange light. Slowly the ice melted beneath his flames. Will’s little body began to shake violently after a moment or two before he proceeded to stop using his attack fairly suddenly. Gabi rushed forward, suddenly sensing an extreme shift in emotion coming from will’s direction. Will began to keel over and Gabi managed to catch him before he hit the cold snow. Gabi kneeled to the ground and began to brush his feathers across his face. She pressed her hand against his forehead fearing the worst, but rather than the heat she was expecting, only a small amount of warmth could be felt. “Tikay! W-will is too cold!” Tikay ran forward and watched helpless as Gabi hands began to glow a gentle shade of green. Gabi became flustered as her attempts to heal him with heal-pulse proved to be worthless. A torrent of thoughts rushed through Gabi’s head as she desperately tried to come up with a plan on what she should be doing. A drip of water splattered on her head causing her to look up. The ice will had been attempting to melt was almost completely gone. Tikay brought her arm back behind her shoulder as she turned to face the wall. “Gabi prepare to teleport us back to Tao Village! Will might be sick! I’m going to grab as many flowers as possible then join back up with you. A deep purple glow began to swirl around Tikay’s hand as she let loose a strong punch that crashed into the stone wall. It broke away reviling a large dark tunnel ware a small blue glow could be seen near its end. Tikay sprinted through the rocky corridor, but came to a top when she momentary blinded by the shift of light. Slowly the area around her came to focus. She was in a cave like area brimming with light from the many bundles of flowers that scattered across the area. Something was nagging at the back of her mind like she was forgetting something important. Tikay ignored it and frantically began to pull flowers up from their roots. Suddenly she remembered what she had forgotten. Long ago she had bought some preserved berry juice from an untrustworthy blue kecleon that told her they were made from the rare apricots that are said to boost a Pokémon’s ability merely by drinking its special squeezed juices. She had bought them for an insanely large price thinking it was well worth it. Tikay had then proceeded to sample the contents of one of the jars… It was filled to the brim with spelon berry juice. One drop from its powerful spice caused flames to burst from her mouth forcing her into a nearby lake in an attempt to cool down her searing throat. Tikay never did trust kecleons ever again and ended up leaving the jars hidden… in this very cave. Frantically Tikay got up and tried with all her might to find the spot where she had left those arceus forsaken jars. The remainder of the spelon juice may be the key to saving Will if he was suffering.

Finally she spotted it; a large stone, almost completely covered with glowing flowers, sitting in the shadows. She ran up and began to fiercely tug at it. Slowly Tikay dragged the stone away from her hiding spot; the sound of if scrapping across the stone floor echoed through the cavern. Tikay froze; something lay atop the jars, something she did not put there herself. It has been years since she’s last seen it. The painful memories it brought back to her caused large drops of tears to run down her face as she picked the small doll. It’s resemblance to Tikay was beyond doubt as the large yellow buttons that made up the dolls eyes glimmered in the glow of the flowers. “B-but how!” she staggered the area around her began to blur as the painful memories of her family danced through her head. She had no hope of ever finding them again; not now not after all that has happened. Without warning a scream that was bursting with terror brought Tikay back into reality. Her heart nearly stopped as she recognized the scream to belong to one of her last friends in the world. “GABI!” Tikay launched herself into a flying leap as she headed towards the way she had come. She hadn’t even bothered to leave behind the flowers or the doll which she was now griping with sheer fear as she ran. Finally Tikay made it back outside. However, Gabi was no ware to be found…
