Here's something, long ago dreamt. The great meeting of two titans. My favorite characters from Naruto and Bleach: Deidara and Ichimaru. Quite a while before now, I noted many similarities between the two on further solidifying my favoritism toward them. They're both perpetually happy, and have really similar smiles, they're both villains(as far as we know... O_o), etc. The list goes on. And so I've drawn countless meetings between the two, mostly in Soul Society because I've imagined crossing a bunch of characters into Soul Society, probably because of some Akatsuki jutsu gone awry. But at any rate, I always imagine these two meeting, exchanging a few words, grins, and then, bam, get into it. It would of course be during the SS arc when Ichimaru was still there, so he'd probably just figure Deidara was another ryoka. It would be an awesome battle full of Shinsou and exploding clay animals. Ninpou and Kidou. I named the pic that and drew them both doing that because the names are pretty similar: Ninpou is used, in Naruto, to describe the 'way' of a tenchique and Kidou comes to be the way of demons. They're just different ways when you think about it. So I called the pic that because of the similarities and so forth. Anyway, of course they would both end up not finishing the fight for some reason, because they're both so awesome. So that there is the back story.
Technically: I love the way Deidara turned out. I originally had another Deidara drawn beside that Ichimaru, but I didn't like the look of it, so I redrew a new one yesterday. I realize it looks bit like my last one, but that's the pose I had him in when I first drew this, so I kept it th e same. I think it might look better than 'Soaring' actually. I was drawn more recently so...meh. It's all good. I also like the way Ichimaru looks. He's hard to draw sometimes, but when I get him down, I really like it. This is also my first attempt at Soul Society buildings. They aren't very detailed, I've found and really, what goes ON inside those buildings? Seems to me they're just there to collapse during a huge fight...yeah. The clouds and sky are fun as always.
So yeah, first crossover over Naruto and Bleach posted thus far, but I've got quite a bit more stored up, so you might want to look for that in the future if you like this one. Hope you all enjoy and comment if you like! ^_^
