“Brick By Brick”

- Both are the mute, pixelated, customisable avatars of rivaling block-filled, open-world, critically acclaimed survival sandboxes that revolutionised the genre.

- Both try to survive in a world full of monsters trying to kill them by gathering resources, crafting weapons, and building bases.

- Both start out as weak, vunerable humans fighting things like 3 foot tall spiders to being able to adapt to the environment they are in and becoming a formidable warrior battling a powerful, god-like being (The Ender Dragon/Moon Lord) as well as a giant skeleton that be summoned with certain objects (The Wither/Skeletron or Skeletron Prime, take your pick).

- In the process of doing so, they travel to different biomes, such as one based on hell (The Nether/The Underworld) to get a specific item to that is important to the gameplay (Blaze Rods/The Spirits of Light and Dark).

- Despite both being blank slates with vague personalities, they have an obscure, naive, calm and peaceful, non canon novel counterpart (Steve…again/Vale).

- Both games are known for having a vague storyline and the few viable pieces tell us that are both like the “chosen ones” of their respective verse in contrasting ways (Steve is the Avatar of the Player who is a god/Terrarian was destined to kill the Moon Lord who is a god).
