Description Okay, so this is the first picture of a set that tells the story of Ana's parents: Flint's Infernape and his granfather's Ninetales who is a Shiny Pokemon and how their story plays out.

I get it Shiny Ninetales are supposed to be silver not blue. But I really hated the silver coloring on Ninetales so I made it blue, besides the setting takes place at night at Buck and Flint's Grandfather's ranch. Also the soothe bell that Ana has is changed to silver since Ninetales leaves her with that soothe bell.

I know, the color of Ninetales's fur and Infernape's flame is off but here have a cookie and enjoy the story.

____________

“Stop!” she cried as she leapt over the crippled Infernape, shielding him from the attack. What a fool this Flame pokemon was, challenging an opponent, that would give even the Champion trouble. Why did she even think about protecting him? He was her master’s eldest grandson’s pokemon. And it was the noble thing to do and she hated seeing others hurt. So perhaps that’s why…

She felt the pain stream from her body as she was hit with a water pulse from the charging bull, but she stood her ground. With all her strength, she summoned the move “grudge” and fired at Old Man Tauros. The bull stood for a moment, unable to continue his rampage and fell towards the ground. She let out a sigh of relief as a Female Empoleon ran to her aid.

“Ninetales! Girlfriend, You okay?” she asked.

“Fine, Empy, a little soaked and shaken but just fine,” she said, turning her concern towards her bloodied and barely alive fallen comrade. Ninetales created a small cradle with her silver tails and slowly walked towards the house as the master’s younger grandson, Buck, corralled Old Man Tauros. She stared at Infernape, having that itching feeling that she had known him once upon a time.

“Good girl!” her old master said, petting her head, “Infernape wouldn’t have made it if it wasn’t for you. I would hate to see Flint upset that something had happened to his starter pokemon.”

“Nine!” she said grinning. She stared at the wounded Infernape, feeling that melting feeling inside of her. She nosed at his shoulder plate.

“I really want some answers!” she thought.

“Ah you want to take care of him yourself, now do you dear?”

“Nine! Nine!” She nodded her silvery head, the new soothe bell around her neck rang with each movement.

“Ah, you are always there at the right time and the right place, my dear. Always ready to help. No wonder my grandsons love you,” the old man chuckled, gently lifting up the monkey and resting his bandaged head on her back. Ninetales smiled and used two of her tails as a blanket for Infernape. She could feel his flaming crown touch her back, feeling her ability “Flash Fire”, activate once again.

“I better not flamethrower the fireplace if I’m taking care of this guy,” she thought. Infernape groaned at the pain in his side.

“I wish I had the moves “Healing wish” or “Heal Bell” that way I could take away this guy’s pain. I usually don’t take care of fully evolved pokemon, mostly just the babies. But this is Flint’s very first pokemon and yet almost everyone here treats him like dirt, the poor thing. The least he can get is a bit of self-respect, after all, his master is part of the Elite Four! “ she thought

Her eyes felt heavy, and the soothing warmth made her extra sleepy. Maybe she could close her eyes for a bit.

“Hey! Wake up!”

Her eyes flew open and her ruby eyes met sapphire in the fire light. The numb feeling knocked into her system again as she struggled to find the words to say. Why was she acting like this?

“O-oh! You’re awake! How are you feeling?” She stammered.

“Pain. Pain. Like crap,” Infernape growled. Boy was he a friendly patient.

“At least you’re alive.”

“I can’t believe I lost! Me! The Elite Four Flint’s first Pokemon!”

“Actually you won.”

“How? I was out cold.”

“Boy, she beat that crazy old man for your sorry butt with that famous Ninetales’s move, ‘Grudge’!” The two looked up as Empy came hobbling into the room, a smile smeared across her beak,

“Empy, I wasn’t that impressive,” The fox pokemon groaned as her silvery blue muzzle turned a light shade of purple.

“Child, that old coot has been trampling over how many of us? He acts like he owns the whole joint! Heck he trampled over me when I was just a Piplup!”

“Wait, you beat him? For me?” Infernape interrupted.

“N-n-no! Nothing like that! But you were badly injured s-s-s-s-so…” Ninetales stuttered, quickly looking at him.

“So that girl jumped in and gave the final blow to the head,” Empy finished, punching the air with her fin.

“Empy...” Ninetales rolled her eyes, the blush growing more and more darker by the second.

“Keep that up, girl and I’ll fry your sorry tin can to the next life,” she thought, knowing the fact that though Empoleon were known to be water types, they were also steel types, making her friend in the position of being K-Oed by her. Empy shook her head.

“Just say’n, monkey breath. You should thank her for saving your reputation and butt. Maybe you could thank her by going out on a da-”

“OKAY Empy! I think Infernape needs to get some sleep. So why don’t you just… um errr… go and see how Luxray is doing. I think he was asking for you,” Ninetales bolted in. Now she was an inch closer to burning her to ashes.

“Luxray? Ooh! That boy is smok’in hot! I he was lookin’ for me?” Empy leapt into the air and slid out of the room on her belly. The fox pokemon sighed.

“Okay…” Infernape mumbled, “Is she always this-”

“Non-stop motor mouth? Oh yea, 24/7, all year long. But her heart is a lot bigger than her mouth, one of the reasons why she’s my best friend.” Ninetales said, a small smile on her face as she watched from the window as Empy glomped Luxray.

“Get off of me, Empy! I’m happy to see you too!” Luxray laughed. Though he was clueless towards the Empoleon’s affection, Ninetales thought that he and her dearest friend were soul mates.

“So…Nurse Ninetales…”

She blushed once again at the name she was given by this… guy. She had to admit, she had taken a liking to this monkey. Infernape was handsome with that flaming crown, and that gorgeous white fur. He was the most agile pokemon she had ever seen. He was fearless, bold, brave, but he was also a fool to rush into battle like that. It almost reminded her of someone. But who?

“Y-yes?” she asked.

“You won… by just using that… move… ‘Grudge’?”

“Um… yea…”

“Hmph… lucky shot. I could have done better. Just stay out of my way next time.” His ice blue eyes caused her to shiver as he glared at her.

Ninetales sighed as she watched him fall asleep. Obviously, he was not that Chimchar from her childhood… was he?
