Description

The Saturn Alliance is a close association of the seven polities in the Saturn Sphere and their two shared territories. Just over half a billion beings live in or around Saturn, the majority human –but, thanks to the Titan Cohabitation Compact, a large percentage of that half billion are Calypsians living under the flag of the Titan Harmony Organization. Interestingly, a good 162 million people live within the Saturnian atmosphere, aboard large aerostat cities not quite unlike those of Venus, under the banner of the Ringshadow Federation.

The nations of the Saturn Sphere are more independent than the members of the comparably-populated Jovian Federation , and the primary functions of the Alliance are trade coordination, resource moderation, and collective representation in the United Sol System assembly; as evidenced, the Alliance is partially a holdover from the pre-independence days of the 2100s, when human activity in the Saturn Sphere was more centralized.

By far the most prolific industry in the Saturn Sphere is the water trade, with so many sources easily accessible from the rings and moons that Saturn has become well known as the dominant water supplier to the entire Sol system. Supplementing this is the refinement and export of organic chemicals, primarily based out of Titan and Saturn itself, as well as engineering innovations developed by the advanced local technocultures. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly: Saturn's legendary rings attract millions of visitors per Saturn-year, making tourism a surprisingly large facet of the collective Saturnian economy.

hell yeahhhh more ASP space flag stuff! this time we're looking at Saturn and its moons. again, did these last week but shit happened so I'm posting them today, a few days after their debut on my Instagram .
some notes and credits: the Saturn Alliance flag was directly inspired by the "Distant Light" flag design by redditor u/FiFoFree, and the lion on Rhea's flag is a derivation of the heraldic lion created by David Liuzzo.
