What is this I see before me?The light has dimmed yet I still see
Once warm and hopeful and young
Now gone, cold, hopeless and aged.
What is this feeling inside?
The dark clouds never seem to part
I cannot see the light
I'm meant to see.
What is this path in front of my eyes?
A winding road, yet again
A rocky hill and stormy skies
Will I be home, will I make it?
Another year has gone
Another beginning await
It's time to think of tomorrow
And always hope it's not too late.
Truth be told I've tried my best
But somewhere along the way
You get tired of the twists in life
And deep inside you want to fly away.
The past cannot be undone
The truth may not set you free
